# Profile

> Set your name, photo, and the details that appear in your email signature

Your profile holds the details Typewise uses to personalize what customers see
from you. They reach a customer only where an admin has referenced them in a
[human agent signature](/documentation/behavior/email#signatures); the AI
assistant signature cannot use agent details at all.

## Open your profile

Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, then choose
**Settings**. You land on **Profile**, the first page under **Personal**.

## Details

| Field | Description |
| :------------- | :------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Photo** | Your profile picture. See [Your photo](#your-photo) below. |
| **First name** | Used on its own, and as part of your full name, in signatures. |
| **Last name** | Used on its own, and as part of your full name, in signatures. |
| **Email** | Read-only. Ask an admin if your address needs to change. |

Click **Save** to apply your changes. **Save** stays disabled until you change
something.

## Additional details

If your organization has defined
[user properties](/documentation/settings/user-properties), each one appears
here as its own field: for example Job title, Department, or Salutation. The
section is hidden when your organization hasn't defined any.

* The input matches the property's type: a text box, a number, or a date picker.
* Hover the information icon next to a field's label to see what the property is
for, as described by your admin.
* Anything you enter can be inserted into the email signature by an admin. It
reaches customers as you typed it, unless the property is
  [translated](#translated-properties).

<Tip>
Fill in every field your organization defines. A signature that references a
detail you left empty simply leaves a gap where your value would have been.
</Tip>

### Translated properties

Your admin can mark a property as translated, so its value follows the language
of the conversation. Those fields show a translation icon
(<Icon icon="language" />) next to them, active once you've entered a value.

Click it to review the translations of your own value and override any of them,
the same way you would for a
[signature translation](/documentation/behavior/email#signature-translations).
Your overrides apply only to your own details, never to a colleague's.

## Assignment

| Field | Description |
| :----------- | :----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Channels** | The channels you work on. You receive tickets from the channels selected here. |
| **Team** | Read-only. Ask an admin to change which team you belong to. |

## Your photo

Click the round photo area and choose an image file, up to 15 MB. Once a photo
is set, hover over it and click the trash icon to remove it.

Your photo appears in the platform next to your name. It also appears inside
your email signature when an admin has added the **Avatar** variable to the
signature template.
